Honduras and El Salvador at loggerheads over Gulf of Fonseca

Scarcely a week after Honduras agreed to form part of a trinational police force with El Salvador and Guatemala to combat the threat of transnational crime and the cross-border mara-gang network (WR-06-40), it looks like becoming involved in trinational talks of a different kind: an age-old maritime border dispute with El Salvador, involving Nicaragua, is threatening to undermine relations.
